MZLA worked with a team on the streetscape design of west segment of what will be Portland’s newest transit line.
The design accommodates pedestrians and light rail users while providing vegetated stormwater facilities, street trees and other ornamental plantings. Stormwater planters line SW Lincoln and Naito streets with lush plantings.
MZLA coordinated with BES in the planting palette as this agency will build and maintain these facilities. A grassy swale near the Willamette River will treat run-off from the new transit bridge.
